Europroject meeting 2015
Bei unserem Aufenthalt in Zaragoza haben wir nicht nur neue Freunde dazu gewonnen, sondern auch neue Erfahrungen gesammelt. Durch die verschiedenen Workshops im Laufe der Woche haben wir vor allem einen starken Teamgeist entwickelt.
Es wurden kleine Gruppen gebildet, in denen wir jeweils ein Thema zu bearbeitet hatten. Mein Team sollte sich mit ethischer, religiöser und kulturelle Diskriminierung auseinandersetzen. Natürlich gab es Anfangsschwierigkeiten, da wir uns weder kannten, noch die gleiche Sprache sparchen. Doch schon bald entstand eine angeregte Diskussion. Jeder brachte sein Wissen ein und schon bald wurde uns klar, dass wir eine ziemlich ähnliche Sichtweise hatten und uns auch ähnliche Probleme zu diesem Thema bekannt waren. Jedes Team schrieb ein Plakat und eine Power Point welche später sowohl den Schülern als auch den Lehrern präsentiert wurde. Meiner Gruppe war es vor allem wichtig, dass jeder unsere „Message“ verstand. Wir wollten klar machen, dass Bildung eine besonderse Rolle spielt. Wenn es mehr Möglichkeiten in Schulen gäbe über Themen wie Diskriminierung zu reden, würden wir Schüler uns viel mehr mit diesen Themen beschäftigen und uns eine eigene Meinung bilden können. Durch Konfernzen wie Europroject Meeting können Jugendliche einen neuen Blickwinkel auf andere Kulturen bekommen. Wir sind der Meinung, dass wir nur etwas ändern können, wenn wir den ersten Schritt machen. Außerdem haben wir typische Vorurteile über verschiedenen Länder gesammelt, die aber in unserer Gruppe gar nicht anzutreffen waren; dies haben wir dann dem Plenum präsentiert. Damit wollten wir zeigen wie schnell Menschen Urteile fällen, ohne sich darüber Gedanken zu machen.
Was mir besonders in Erinnerung bleiben wird, war die Rede unseres ehemaligen Direktors Georg Latzke, der zurzeit der Europroject General Secretary ist. Er hat es geschafft, um die 80 Jugendliche eine halbe Stunde mit seinem sehr anschaulichen Vortrag sehr gefesselt. Er brachte Beispielen, wie wir in bestimmten Situationen reagieren und wie schnell wir voreilig ein Urteil über andere treffen. Außerdem hat er uns Tipps gegeben, woran wir an uns persönlich arbeiten sollen.
Unser Schlussfazit aus dieser Woche ist: „ Make love, not discrimination!“

"I am sitting in the aeroplane , contemplating few of the best days I've had in my life .The past few days passed by way too fast and I am already missing the great workshops , presentations , speeches , fun times and the people I've met over here . On the day of our arrival I was picked up by my kind host sister , Irene , then we drove home to her apartment and I got to meet her family and in the evening Jessica , my host sister from Slovakia .The day after , we had some introduction games to get to know the people from the other countries taking part in the Europroject . We were split into nine groups consisting of six people from six different nations . Within these groups we had to work on different projects regarding the theme "Students with strange social and emotional behaviour " . I was put into a group with a Luxembourger , a German , a Durch , a Slovak and a Spaniard . Our interesting mix of nations got to work on a presentation on Cyberbullying . Afterwards , we went home and ate dinner and after dinner the opening ceremony with many interesting acts and speeches took place in the ceremony hall of the school .On Thursday we started the day with Zumba , a dance and workout hybrid , and were split into two groups .We listened to a tantalizing presentation about Peer Mediation from the Spaniards that was followed by an acting workshop lead by a Swedish teacher . After the acting workshop we went home for lunch . When we were done with our lunch , we went back to our school to finsh off our presentations . In the evening every group had to present their presentations . Daan,a Dutch guy , and I presented for our group. Subsequently , we heard a tense(packend?) speech by our former headmaster and general secretary of our network , Mr. Georg Latzke . The Spaniards had prepared atour through the inner city of Zaragoza after his speech , which showed us many stunning sites of Zaragoza .The following day we were split again into two groups . One group first went a castle and the other group went rafting . Then the group that was rafting went toi the castle and the group that went to the castle went rafting . In the evening we had a closing ceremony with many well-prepared speeches , including mine , and performances . It was followed by a clsing party attended by lots of parents, teachers and students . Afterwards all the students that participated in the project went out together and had loads of fun and a sad time saying goodbye to everybody . On Saturday , Emilia , Johanna , Nicolaus , Ms. Ranftl , Ms. Calabek and I took a train to Barcelona and spent a whole day over there filled with sight-seeing . In conclusion, I would like to say that we gained a marvellous experience that will not only look good on our CV's and give us a massive advantage over other studetns that haven't had the priviledge to take part in such a project , but it has educated us and will always be helpful in our lives . We worked on very useful skills and made amazing friends all over Europe . I would recommend this to anyone who ever gets the opportunity to participate in such a brilliant project!
